Valencia’s much-loved Festival de les Arts showcases indie music, every June, against the spectacular backdrop of the City of Arts and Sciences.

Valencia is world-renowned for the Benicassim Festival and there are also many other musical events which take part in the city. The New York Times went so far as to declare, "Music is at the heart of Valencia [...] and it may be one of the few Spanish cities that is now more vital than it was five years ago".
