Valencia Airport

Valencia International Airport (Manises) is small enough to get around without long walks, clean and modern, and has recently opened an impressive new extension to the terminal building.

It's about 5 miles (8km) from the city centre and a taxi cost around €20-30.

If you want to save time and relax when you arrive to your destination then it's worth booking a private transfer from/to the airport.

You can also take the convenient metro, rent a car or take a bus.

Taxis

The official taxi rank is just outside of the arrivals.

TIP! Be ready for an airport supplement to be added to the final fare on the taxi meter.

Metro

You don't need to leave the airport to take the metro (underground/subway), just take the signposted escalator or lift at the end of the arrivals hall. Valencia airport is not large, it is easy to find.

Metro lines 3 and 5 (red and green) have stops in the centre (in Xativa or Colon stations). They usually leaveevery 10-20 minutes and takes about 30 minutes to get to the centre.

The service usually runs from about 5:30am to 00:30am, but it depends if it is weekday, weekend or public. holiday. Check the Metrovalencia website in English to confirm updated routes and schedules.

Bus

Buses leave from outside the departures area. Number 150 takes you to the city centre bus station in about 40 minutes and a single ticket costs around €2.

TIP! Buy a Valencia Tourist Card at the tourist information office in Valencia and you can make unlimited use of public transport (including airport routes) for a period of 24, 48 or 72 hours. It also gives you discounts for tickets to museums, shops, restaurants and other activities.

Driving

To drive to city centre from the airport follow the road signs for the A3 road to Valencia, they are not always that clear or easy to see, so keep your eyes peeled and have you're passengers help if necessary. Make sure you take the A3 in the direction of Valencia, not Madrid!
