Learn the art of traditional Spanish shoemaking with our hands-on workshop!
Create your very own traditional Spanish espadrilles and fancy up your feet. Skilled artisans will be your guides, providing all the materials and tools you need for this immersive experience, including plenty of bubbly local cava wine.
Begin your journey with a captivating introduction to the history of espadrilles - also known as espargatas in Spanish or espardenyas in Valencian - and the materials that bring them to life.
Discover the rich tradition of these stylish shoes, from their humble beginnings to their rise as a fashion staple and where Coco Chanel and Salvador Dali fit in to the story.
Next, personalise your espadrilles by choosing the size of the base, the colour of the laces, and your preferred style (men's, women's or whatever takes your fancy!).
With over 100,000 different combinations, get ready for a delightful challenge as you stitch your own pair and learn the various ways to lace them up.
Upon completion, you'll leave with your own personalised creation and a unique story to share with friends. This is a rare opportunity for both visitors and locals to craft a wearable memory.
During the two hour session, enjoy delicious bites and fine Spanish sparkling wine or soft drinks. Turn it into a celebration if you're in the mood and test out your new fancy feet with some music and a dance before you leave!
