Everyone knows paellas as one of Spain's most famous dishes, but did you know their birthplace was right here, in Valencia? So, what better place to learn how to make one, with an authentic local chef as to show you how!
After being introduced to your master chef, the history, ingredients and importance of the Valencia paella will be explained to you. You'll be given your ingredients depending on the type of paella you have chosen to make: Traditional Valencian, Seafood or Vegetarian (prices vary, see below) and then, it's time to start cooking, with your chef guiding you carefully, step by step.
This is a wonderful social activity, with everyone having fun in the kitchen and learning heaps at the same time. Along with having a plenty of laughs with your chef and other students, you'll be learning some real Spanish chefs' tricks that are sure to impress next time you cook for friends at home.
When you finish your rice masterpiece, the proof is in the tasting! You and the group will sit down for a full "family" dinner, including starters, your very own paellas, desserts, drinks and, of course, some of the best local wine.
Note: A traditional Valencian paella is made with chicken and rabbit, but you can choose to cook it without the rabbit, or cook a seafood or vegetable version if you wish. All paellas are free of gluten and dairy products and don't contain any colours or preservatives. *You may be given the option to include snails in the traditional Valencia paella, but it is not compulsory. People with shellfish allergies should check with their doctor before consuming snails.
Traditional Valencian Paella: €50 per person (Save €10. Previously €60!)
Seafood Paella: €70 per person (Save €10. Previously €80!)
Vegetable Paella: €60 per person (Save €10. Previously €70!)
Availability: Monday to Sunday
Morning class available Sundays at 10am (with lunch instead of dinner) or we also offer our morning Market Visit with Paella Class and Lunch at 10am from Monday to Saturday.
Duration: Approx. 3 hours (cooking class approx. 2 hours and 1 hour dinner time).
Meeting Point: School close to Central Market.

What to bring: Comfortable clothes.
Includes: Cooking class with professional chef, cooking facilities and equipment, and all ingredients. Full meal with starter, main course, dessert, soft drinks and wine at the conclusion of your cooking class.
Not included: Transport to/from the meeting point (but very easy to get to central locaton)
E-ticket: Upon receipt of full payment, you will receive your E-ticket confirming the date, time and meeting place of your tour, along with any other necessary details.
