There's exciting news for transatlantic visitors to Valencia, with Canadian airline Air Transat beginning new direct flights between Montreal and Valencia, next month.
The first flight across the pond from Montréal-Trudeau is due to land at Valencia airport on Friday, 20 June and then will fly back to Canada again the following day, on Saturday, 21 June. They will follow the same weekly schedule - with flights from Montreal to Valencia every Friday, and from Valencia to Montreal every Saturday - through until Saturday, 4 October 2025.
Although originally only planned for the summer months, Air Transat also announced, this week, that they will be extending the route to the winter too. Airline spokesperson, Sebastian Ponce, said "Having recently added Valencia to our summer program, its winter extension is a testament to the destination's potential."
The winter flight schedule will begin in 2026, with the first flight landing in Valencia from Canada on Saturday, 21 February, returning to Montreal on Sunday, 22 February, and continuing every Saturday and Sunday through to the end of April.
Airbus A321LR aircraft will be used for the non-stop flights, with a flight time of around 7-8 hours.
