Valencia Smashes Tourism Records in 2024

Valencia is more popular than ever, wrapping up 2024 with record-breaking tourism numbers, proving once again why it's one of Europe's hottest destinations.

According to figures released, last month, by the airport authority, AENA, Valencia airport saw an impressive 10.8 million passengers in 2024 – an 8.7% jump from 2023. Of those, 7.8 million were international visitors, as more and more people from around the world choose to visit the region.

It's not just the airport that's taking off – hotels have been busy too. The hotel association HOSBEC said, last week, there were over 31 million overnight stays in the region, with a massive 24% increase in international tourists, proving Valencia's global appeal is stronger than ever.

To keep up with this travel boom, AENA confirmed plans are in motion to expand Valencia airport, making it even easier for visitors to arrive in comfort.

There's also exciting news for transatlantic visitors, as Canadian airline Air Transat begins new direct flights between Montreal and Valencia this June – a big win for connectivity and tourism.

With stunning urban beaches, incredible food and wine, and a buzzing cultural scene, it's no surprise Valencia is breaking records. If 2024 was anything to go by, 2025 is going to be even bigger!
