Smack your lips with the very best Valencian food and wine at the Mostra Proava food and wine fair, from 25 to 29 April 2019.
Held outdoors in the Turia river bed gardens, the event is organised by the official Valencia food and wine producers' association, guaranteeing only the best gastro and vino products are on offer.
It's the 31st year that the fair has been held and every year people come from further afield to find out what the buzz is about.
Expect at least 25 top local winemakers to be present, with an amazing selection of red, white and cava wines, including special regional varieties such as Bobal and Macabeo.
Of course, you couldn't enjoy wine in Valencia without cheese and cured meats, so there will be a selection of the finest to try, as well as plenty of yummy sweet and savoury cakes and pastries.
Don't worry if you're a beer drinker, there will also be 8 stonking local craft brewers on hand to set your tastebuds alight with some favourite Valencian cervezas.
Tickets cost €5 per person and include two taster drinks/snacks or €15 per person with 15 taster drinks/snacks. You'll be given a digital bracelet when you enter and you can top up with more credit for tasters as and when you need to.
Live music performances and cooking demonstrations will also keep the crowds entertained and there is a children's play area and cloakroom.
Tickets can be bought at the entrance but we strongly recommend you book online at the organiser's website to avoid long queues.
The gates will open on Thursday, 25 April from 5:30pm to 9pm and then again on Friday, 26, Saturday, 27, and Sunday, 28, from 11am to 9pm.
