It's harvest time and we're offering the chance to squash grapes with your feet, on our Annual Grape Harvest and Stomping Tour on Saturday, 30 September 2017!
Departing from the centre of Valencia at 9am, our sommelier guided, all-inclusive bus tour will take you to a small family-run winery in the Utiel-Requena region, about an hour's drive from city.
After a friendly greeting, you'll learn about the growing of the grapes and techniques used to produce the wine, before getting your hands and feet dirty helping with the harvest and stomping grapes.
Make sure you bring a change of clothes as you're sure to be covered in pulp and juice after stomping away to your heart's content!
Satisfied with your hard work, next you'll get to taste the vineyard's very special wines and have a full lunch with local dishes served outside.
Even while eating you'll learn more about wine, as the different dishes will be paired with wines by an your sommelier-guide, so you can taste how different varieties complement different types of food.
On the way back to the city after lunch, you can sit back in your comfortable bus seat to enjoy more wonderful views of the Valencian countryside, before you arrive back to Valencia around 5pm.
