Ninot Exhibition

Every year in February and early March, in the run up to the Fallas festival, you can get a sneak preview of some of the amazing ninot artworks at a special exhibition in the Science Museum.

Ninots are the smaller sculptures - or monuments - that are skilfully, and often comically, handmade as part of the world-famous annual Valencian celebrations.

TIP! Enjoy a VIP view of some of the best Fallas events with our Banging Fallas Balcony Experience!

Traditionally Fallas societies spend all year preparing and making the ninots as well as much larger sculptures, which are then erected in the streets around the city for everyone to enjoy.

At the end of the fiestas they are set alight, in huge bonfires with flames often licking the buildings around them under the careful watch of the city's fire brigade.

Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite ninot and the most popular will be saved from the flames and put on permanent display in the Fallero Museum instead, where you'll find an incredible collection of sculptures from throughout the event's history.
