Palau de la Musica Concert Hall

Since opening in 1987, the Palau de la Musica concert hall has been the centre of musical life and culture in Valencia.

Designed by architect José María Paredes, this magnificent building boasts a huge glass dome, which sits parallel to the river suggesting freshness, transparency and integration with the environment.

The Palau seemingly becomes one with the landscape and the surrounding waterway. The adjacent riverbed compliments the harmony of this impressive building.

The auditorium boasts four concert halls as well as a spacious lobby which hosts various temporary exhibitions, which passers by can visit at any time.

With an array of concerts, special events, exhibitions, performances and special events, there is something suitable for almost all tastes. Visit the Palau's website to see current event schedules.

The Palau also has a lovely café with a summertime terrace next to the gardens, making the it a worthwhile visit, whether attending a performance or simply passing by to enjoy the peaceful environment and exhibitions at hand.

TIP! If you are visiting the city in summer, don’t miss the evening "al fresco" cinema next to the Palau with showings of some of the great classics!
