Plaza de la Reina

The Plaza de la Reina is without doubt, one of the hottest spots in the city. Come down to this square at Calle de la Paz and Calle San Vicente, just down from City Hall Square. With the Santa Catalina church tower emerging in the southwest corner, this pretty square is the perfect place to relax and taste a typical horchata at Santa Catalina’s two hundred year old cafe.

You will find Valencia’s cathedral in the plaza, which is the perfect meeting place and where you can visit the Miguelete Bell Tower. You will also find plenty of tapas bars, restaurants, pubs and ice cream parlours in this popular square.

Right next to the cathedral is the famous Barrio del Carmen, with its rich nightlife. Nearby streets also provide plenty of shopping opportunities. Calle del Mar is full of galleries and antique shops, while Calle de la Paz provides a variety of shops and jewellers. Coffee shops, convenience stores and kiosks can be found on Calle San Vicente.

While public parking is available at the square, it is easily reached on foot from Colon metro (by Calle de la Paz) or from the North train station near City Hall Square and Calle San Vicente.
